Book Review: Obsidian, a Lux novel

So, this story is about a girl and a guy and a bunch of people who are trying to kill her. Basically. It's also about a mean girl and how to deal with verbal abuse in high school. (Spaghetti revenge).

Mostly, it's about learning to trust yourself and fighting for what you believe in. I liked the MC, Katy, very much. The hot guy, Daemon was a jerk, but he didn't bother me as much as most jerks in literature. I'm not sure why. This is the first in eight books(!) so don't expect to get too far plot-wise, in fact, it mostly is a simple romance with some special effects thrown in for fun.

For some reason, it was a perfectly pleasant diversion.
