Merry Christmas!

I'm delighted to have another year come and go, and another Christmas with rain, not snow.

This year has been wonderful. I've managed to get Hybrid, House of Slide out there, and made my first ever purchase with ebay. It's very exciting. Not only that, I've been able to connect online and in person with so many fabulous friends. So, thanks, and Happy Holidays, oh, and Happy New Year!

I get such a kick out of David Bowie.

Blog Tour at SHUT UP AND READ

What a catchy title. Today I'm at shut up and read with a stunning post all about the deep, dark origins of creativity. It's also about cute guys.

At home I'm trying to find the energy to finish up the Christmas dresses. I am bad at finishing. Ah well.

Hot Guys in Fiction at Read 2 Review

Today I'm doing a guest blog post over at the lovely Kate's Read 2 Review. Please check it out. I dissect all the traits that make fiction guys droolworthy, well, not ALL of them because I have other things to do, like quilt. And quilt some more.

Oh! I have some AMAZING quilt posts coming up. You are so excited.

Other than that, I think my favorite Christmas combo is mustard yellow (gold) kelly green (green) and teal/turquoise (blue).  With bits of red. I'm trying to coordinate everything for Christmas pictures this weekend. Does anyone else have a favorite color palette for Christmas pics?

Return of the Blog Tour!

Hello! I'm at Books, Books and More Books today, or yesterday, something like that. So go, read a lovely review and commiserate with those who stay up late with books. I know that's what I do.

Mystery of the Vanishing Blog Tour

All right, so, today I was supposed to be at someone's blog, someone with a cat type name, which I'm sure everyone would find all sorts of delightsome, but instead I'm here, on a Tuesday, with no blog spot to visit. It's very sad. I got dressed today and everything.

So, Let's talk about food. Or rather, I'll show a picture of food, and you can look at it. Ready?

This is breaded salmon and a heady mixture of envious greens. Broccoli, edamame, lima beans, lightly steamed and tossed with garlic, lemon sauce, and then the salmon.
These are the salmon breading ingredients.

1 cup of Whole wheat flour (preferably freshly ground)
2 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
precisely two dashes of ground cayenne
and a couple of twists from your pepper mill.

Mix up the flour combination, pull out your salmon, dip it in the flour, (you should have a well oiled pan on the stove, I use electric because it heats faster and contains the oil spitting) Put the salmon in the pan, continue with the rest of your pieces, however large you like, then voila! Well, let it cook for a bit until salmon pulls off flaky and breading is the gorgeous golden color above (the whole wheat flour browns darker than white flour).

Do you have a favorite way of making fish?

What My Daughter Picked

This is my outfit. Because I received countless emails begging to know what the outfit my darling chose for me was. Here goes:

Do we need more?

Here's a glamour shot:

I look practically ready to vacuum!

Let's see, teal suede bootes: Anthro sale
Burgundy Velvet pants: Made by me for that thing a long time ago but I never posted a picture. See? I really made them! Used thrifted skirt for fabric. Very ethical, I know.
Ruana: Museum gift shop, 75% off. Ate lunch then headed back down to the basement to rescue it. We were made for each other (handmade in both cases)
Silk blouse you can't see very well: Thrift shop I bought to make a scarf but it fits too well to cut up.
Hair band which you can't see but holds back my messy from hair-not-long-enough french braid. I made it using these instructions: headband Trust me, it's cute.

Linking up to Visible Monday ladies Visible Monday Because nothing makes me feel more visible than textures and teal. Why is this all centered? Oh well. What makes you feel visible?

Blog Tour: 1st Stop? Mallory Heart

Mallory gave me a lovely review, and I wrote a very long article that is splendidly loquacious. Feel free to check it out Mallory Heart!

In other news, my daughter picked out my clothes today. I'm not wearing a single thing I can wipe my hands on. Silk, Velvet, Wool, can we say, dry-clean only? Not that I'm complaining, okay, I am a little bit. 3rd World problems... gotta love 'em:) Have a marvelous Monday!

For the record, it's raining, raining, raining, but we hope for snow:) I'm thinking of getting the Buble duets Christmas album. Has anyone heard it? Is it any good? Any better new Christmas albums out there? My all time favorite is still Sting's On a Winter's Night. LOVE IT!

Hybrid House of Slide, out today!

I am so excited! I thought today might never come, the day my sequel lurched out of the shadows and out into the e-ther, (e something) but here it is, in the flesh(less) my darling baby, out to show the world (What it shows the world, remains to be seen, er, read).

Things to look for- Flying Cows, Monsters, Kissing with Knives, Oversize Spiders, Steam! Oh yes. This book has it all, my friends. Well, not all, but had to save something for the next two:D

She's so pretty and she's available at Smashwords (available in most formats) and Amazon

In other Big News, Hotblood, House of Slide, is available for FREE to celebrate the lovely sequel.

Can there possibly be any other news? Why yes, yes there can! My blog tour starts tomorrow with the lovely Mallory of Mallory Heart Reviews So EXCITING!!!

I'm doing a giveaway along with the tour. It's an awesome giveaway with print copies of the first two House of Slide books, a House of Slide T-shirt, and nail polish!!! So follow along, it will be a party.
